Sleeping at the pump. The manager of the 7-Eleven at 6966 Dahlia St., Commerce City called police July 3 because a man was sleeping across the wheel of a running car while it was parked at a gas pump for two hours. The suspect was drunk, and officers found 26 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms and 11 grams of marijuana in the trunk.

Fighting in the street. Witnesses in the 11500 block of Washington Street, Northglenn called police July 4 because a drunken man was fighting people in the street. The suspect was uncooperative with officers, but he was eventually arrested.

Problems in the home. A couple went to Commerce City police June 30 to report that the man’s brother was harassing them by calling them names and spitting at them at their mutual home in the 10200 block of Chambers Road. After investigating, officers said the claim was unfounded and likely in retaliation over a protection order that the suspect recently got against the two.

Hit and run. A man approaching a red light on Colorado 2 and Quebec Parkway, Commerce City, got hit by the car behind him June 29. The woman driving the suspect car drove off. The victim got her license plate number and officers cited her later.

Drinking on the Fourth. Patrolling Northglenn police officers confiscated dozens of open containers of alcohol at E.B. Rains Park, 11700 Community Center Drive during the Fourth of July celebration.

Welcome home. Someone threw a rock through a man’s basement window in the 3400 block of East 107th Avenue, Northglenn, which he noticed after he returned from vacation July 5.
