Wrong door. A man woke up in the middle of the night June 23 to someone banging on his door and ripping out the screen to his front window in the 1500 block of North Nome Street. When he answered the door, the man standing there looked at him and said he was not the man he was looking for and walked away.

Stepping over the kids. Someone came through the bedroom window of a woman who lives in the 1200 block of South Wheeling Way to steal her TV after she left for work July 1. The woman’s two daughters were camped out on the bedroom floor, and one of them told police she felt someone move her while she was sleeping. The TV was gone when the children awoke.

Listen to your mother. Witnesses called police to the 10700 of East Exposition Avenue because a man was sitting on the curb bleeding from the mouth June 26. The man was said he was jumped by three members from another gang. The victim told police his mother always told him gangbanging was a bad idea and that he should have taken her advice.

Omelet house. Around midnight June 23, a couple heard thumping against the side of their house in the 19500 block of East Batavia Drive, but they couldn’t see anything. The next morning, there were egg splatters all along the house.

Stereo swipe. Someone broke the passenger window of a man’s car while it was parked in the 15500 block of East 18th Avenue and stole his stereo June 23. There are no suspects.
