Authorities in Pueblo County on Thursday arrested three men and seized more than a dozen guns and some 50 marijuana plants after searching a Pueblo West home.

The county sheriff’s office says detectives learned that the residents of the house at 117 N. Candlewood Dr. were possibly growing and selling marijuana illegally from the home.

“During an earlier undercover operation, detectives made a purchase of more than one pound of marijuana at the home,” the sheriff’s office said. “On Thursday, detectives returned to the home with a search warrant and discovered a marijuana grow operation consisting of 56 plants along with an active butane hash oil operation.”

In total, 19 guns — including an assault rifle illegally modified to fire automatically — were found, officials say.

The home’s owner, 49-year-old Gary Clasby, was arrested on charges of possession of a dangerous weapon, hazardous extraction of marijuana and cultivation of more than 30 marijuana plants.

Two other men, who were living in a camper on the property, were also arrested.  They were identified as 31-year-old Matthew Prigge and 24-year-old Brandon Cederholm, who were both arrested on suspicion of hazardous extraction of marijuana concentrate and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

The three men were booked into the Pueblo County jail.
