Broomfield database outsourcer Datavail acquires Oracle business-intelligence consultant

Art of BI offers tools like a plug in for Oracle BI

Datavail Corp., a Broomfield database outsourcing firm, said Monday it has , an Oracle analytics consultant in Fort Mill, S.C., for an undisclosed sum.

Art of BI, which on its says it has between 1 and 10 employees, has software to complement the business-intelligence tools Datavail already uses, including “the first-ever plug-in for Oracle BI,” according to a company statement. Art’s founder Christian Screen will lead Datavail’s Oracle BI practice.

Further details about the companies the deal were not available.

In December, Datavail from investors to grow its business. The company, founded in 2008, helps clients who don’t want to bother with tedious database administration duties.

The company employed 540 people with about 75 in Broomfield, as of December. The majority of its workers, or about 400, are in India.
