This is a new wave of assisted living facilities disguised as a regular neighborhood house. To find these homier spots for an aging loved one, Denver's Mimi.care created a site for better searching -- and for care home owners to better manage their properties.

Born out of the local ,  developed an algorithm to help people find a new home. But not just any home. A care home. The newer breed of assisted-living facilities look like a house and limit residents to 8 to 16 people. They offer aging seniors who need daily help a more homey environment. Mimi vets care homes and acts as a real-estate broker of sorts, letting potential tenants read owner interviews and schedule a visit. The company just started and lists about 50 houses in the Denver area, most recently adding the Rocky Mountain Assisted Living in Lakewood. But as it grows, Mimi’s underlying technology helps care-home owners manage their spaces while giving potential tenants best matches based on interests and answers to a quick survey. Medical marijuana smoker? Yup, that’s a question.
