The NFL and NFL Players Association introduced a new policy geared at enforcing concussion protocol and disciplining teams that violate it Monday.

Each team will been assigned a representative to ensure that concussion protocol is being properly implemented and to identify and investigate potential violations. On first violation, teams will face a maximum fine of $150,000. On second violation, teams will face a minimum fine of $100,000. Notably, if a team is found to have breached protocol due to competitive reasons, the commissioner can impose additional fines as well as require the team to forfeit draft picks.
