Seattle-based developer Schnitzer West, along with joint venture partner J.P. Morgan Asset Management, have broken ground at 250 Fillmore St., a strip previously home to the and a number of small retailers.
Once complete in late 2017, will feature 100,500 square feet of office space, 11,500 square feet of retail and four levels of underground parking.
Tenant amenities include a rooftop terrace with outdoor meeting space, private upscale library, concierge service, street-level outdoor lounge and locker rooms. A “great room” on the first floor will offer flexible, communal work space for individuals, one-on-one meetings and small groups.
“Civica Cherry Creek is truly a next-generation office building, and we’re confident that it will introduce a new level of functionality and service that will redefine tenant expectations in the Denver marketplace,” Schnitzer West managing partner Doug Zabel said in a statement. “We are very excited to partner with J.P. Morgan Asset Management on this investment to deliver this innovative project to the market.”
On Tuesday, demolition was almost complete on the site’s existing structures, including the iconic former Wizard’s Chest castle. The late last year in anticipation of the Fillmore Street redevelopment.
