Reward doubled for information about fatal Aurora shooting

An additional $2,000 has been added by the Aurora Police Reward Fund bringing the total reward up to $4,000

Aurora police have increased the reward for information about a fatal shooting last week.

According to information released by the Aurora Police Department, police received multiple 911 calls at about 12:43 a.m. on July 21 on reports of shots fired at the Viridian at the Gardens on Havana apartment complex.

with a gunshot wound sitting in a car at 1276 S. Joliet Court, next to the apartment complex.

The man, who has been identified as 21-year-old Alexander Joseph Johnson, was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have not released any information about a suspect.

An additional $2,000 has been added by the Aurora Police Reward Fund bringing the total reward up to $4,000.
