A suspect is in custody after a stabbing Monday afternoon at a park at the busy intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Leetsdale Drive.

The stabbing appears to be a domestic violence incident, said Christine Downs, a Denver police spokeswoman. The suspect is being held for investigation of aggravated assault.

A woman, who was with a dog, was transported to a hospital for treatment of a superficial wound, Downs said. The dog was not injured.

The stabbing happened around 1:30 p.m.
