Nolan Arenado blasted his way into the Rockies’ record books Monday night with his 100th career home run.
Arenado, 25, became the youngest player in franchise history to reach that milestone when he hit a 431-foot solo shot to center field off Texas Rangers starter Cole Hamels to lead off the fourth inning.

“His slumps typically aren’t going to last too long,” Rockies manager Walt Weiss said before Monday’s game, “because he’s so talented and he works so hard. That’s what we’re seeing.”
