Denver Broncos offensive tackle Ty Sambrailo (74) heads to the weight room during practice during day 7 of training camp August 4, 2016 at Dove Valley. Sambrailo wear a brace on his right arm as he walks in. Getting your player ready...
For the past week, offensive guard Ty Sambrailo has roamed the sidelines of Broncos training camp practices with a large brace on his right elbow. Last Monday, Gary Kubiak said Sambrailo was “day-to-day” with a hyperextended elbow and that the team’s training staff would continue to evaluate him.
The evaluations lengthened his expected time on the sideline. The second-year guard is week-to-week with the injury and figures to miss some, if not all, of the preseason as he recovers. The team hopes he will be ready for the season opener Sept. 8 against Carolina.
Sambrailo was listed as the co-No. 1 right guard with Michael Schofield in the Broncos’ first depth chart of 2016.
