
Prosecutors charged two men with murder who allegedly engaged in a shootout that killed two, and wounded two more, in an .
Rojelio Heredia, 25, and Brandon Karr, 24, began shooting each other after an argument between them turned physical at the Berkley Village Mobile Home Park at 5400 Sheridan Blvd., according to a release from the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Heredia, who lived at the trailer park was hosting a party there when Karr and three others arrived. A confrontation ensued with occupants of a trailer next door to Heredia’s and a gunfight broke out.
Edgar Munoz, 30, and Dustin Karr, 22, died, and Sergio Ontiveros-Heredia, 26, and Perla Nevarez, 24, were wounded
Brandon Karr is charged with one count of first-degree extreme indifference murder, nine counts of attempted first-degree murder and other charges.
Heredia is charged with one count of first-degree extreme indifference murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder and other charges.
Both appeared in Adams County District Court on Wednesday for formal advisement of the charges. Karr is expected to return to court for a preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m., Aug. 18, and Heredia at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 17.
Both are being held without bond.
