Winds of change roll into Chicago Thursday night when the Broncos face the Bears. With the new season comes the inaugural look at this season.

Once deemed “The Sanchise” when the New York Football Jets drafted him No. 6 in 2009 from USC, quarterback Mark Sanchez declined with Gang Green, then hit rock bottom when he hit the rear end of an offensive lineman and reverberated from MetLife Stadium down to the .

No matter now, Mark. New team. Fresh start. He might, however, have to swap for Rocky Mountain oysters.

The Big Stuff

After weeks of Broncos coach Gary Kubiak recycling the same song and dance about his quarterbacks; that all three guys were splitting equal reps and anything and everything seemed to be divided in threes, Kubiak tabbed Sanchez to start in Chicago.

Protecting Sanchez, then Trevor Siemian and rookie Paxton Lynch will be five guys, minus (or plus) the burgers and fries. General manager John Elway said at the start of last offseason that one of the priorities would be addressing the offensive line. They did, bringing in tackles Russell Okung and Donald Stephenson. . Enough about the offense. After all, it’s only one phase of the game. Von Miller comes bending around the corner of the mind when the Denver defense is the topic. After missing all of mini-camp and organized team activities while his new contract was negotiated, will there be ? Yes and no.
