Business goes on at the Avalanche.
The day after coach and vice president of hockey operations , the Avalanche Friday announced it would be the host for a Rookie Showcase, three-day rookie tournament also involving the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks. The three-day round robin matchup of the teams’ rookies and prospects will be at the Promenade in Westminster.
The team representing the Avalanche will face the Sharks on Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. and the Ducks on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. San Jose and Anaheim will close out the tournament on Sept. 19 at 2 p.m.
Admission will be free.
