A man who hid and took photos of women in a changing room at the Outlets at Castle Rock was sentenced Thursday.
Austin Kyle Baker, 19, pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy for sexual gratification and was sentenced to five days in jail and four years of supervised probation as a sex offender.
A woman called police and said she saw a young man looking over the wall of the changing room while she was inside at the Reebok store. Baker, a former employee, was arrested on Jan. 4. Police found multiple photos and video of women in the changing room on his phone.
“The violation of multiple victims’ privacy in this case is disturbing. The fact that he preyed on women who trusted that the changing would be safe, and that he further choose to document his violations of their privacy by taking photographs, aggravated his crime,” Deputy District Attorney Geoff DeWeese said in a statement.
If Baker does not successfully complete probation, he could face up to two years in jail.
In April, for negligence and against Baker for invasion of privacy.
The lawsuit contends that before Baker was arrested, he had secretly watched and video recorded numerous women undressing in the store’s changing room. It also states that he told at least one other Reebok employee he was secretly videotaping women.
