
BOULDER — Planners are seeking the go-ahead on a series of multi-million dollar improvement projects for the coming years, including a total renovation of the Scott Carpenter Pool, a redesign of Boulder Reservoir’s swim beach and bathhouse and a realignment of one of the city’s messiest intersections.
Under the proposed Capital Improvement Program, Boulder would take aim between 2017 and 2022 at a total of just more than $454 million in maintenance and revamps to key city facilities, intersections and infrastructure.
The program — known simply as the CIP — would cover 171 different projects over the next six years, but most of them involve enhancements to existing capital; close to 80 percent of the funding requested would be used for maintenance and general upkeep.
