Two juveniles broke into Montessori Peaks Academy in Littleton early Saturday morning and evaded a chase from deputies, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.

“A couple neighbors saw two teenage males somehow in the school,” said Mark Techmeyer, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. The males caused some damage at the school at 9904 W. Capri Ave., according to Techmeyer. Officers got a call about the possible burglary at about 6 a.m.

The juveniles ran after a deputy arrived on the scene shortly after 6 a.m. and got away  before another deputy showed up, Techmeyer said. One was dressed in all black with black glasses, and the other was wearing a green shirt, blue pants and has long blond hair.

Police dogs searched the area starting around 6:30 a.m., but the juveniles were not found. The search was completed around 8 a.m. Deputies were still in the area, processing the scene for evidence at around 8:10 a.m.
