A wildfire in northeastern Colorado has burned about 2,000 acres, according to firefighters.
The Basin fire is burning about four miles east of Agate in a wide ravine, said Kara Gerczynski, an Elizabeth Fire Protection District spokeswoman.
There were no reports of injuries or structures lost to the fire, Gerczynski said.
About 30 firefighters and 25 trucks were working the fire, which was first reported at about 6:30 p.m. Monday.
“It’s a little hard for the crews to get down into the ravine,” Gerczynski said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
