ExpandPat Bowlen purchased the Broncos in 1984 and has helped them to 18 playoff appearances and seven Super Bowls, tied with New England’s Robert Kraft as the most among owners in NFL history. Bowlen turned over control of the team to his family trust in July 2014 and he continues his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
