Pinnacle Foods, which purchased is relocating the manufacturing of the EVOL frozen food brands to Fayetteville, Ark., from Boulder.

A statement from the New Jersey-based company said EVOL has outgrown its current facilities at 1845 Range St. in Boulder and the Fayetteville facility has the capacity to accommodate the brand’s growth.

Pinnacle anticipates the EVOL plant, which employs 85 people, will close in the first quarter of 2017. Workers will be given at least 60 days notice before the closure date.

A spokesperson for Pinnacle said most of the employees should be able to transfer to a facility in Denver. Pay continuation will be provided to “eligible employees” for an undefined period of time, and assistance support will also be made available.

“While it’s never an easy decision to close a manufacturing plant, this action will ensure the long-term success of the EVOL brand,” said Mike Wittman, Pinnacle Foods executive vice president and chief supply chain officer. “We are thankful to the employees at the EVOL plant and value the many contributions they have made to the business.”
