Pueblo police say a shooting early Thursday that left a man wounded appears to be gang-related.
Officers were called about 6:30 a.m. to the 2500 block of Pine Street on reports of a a drive-by shooting. First responders found the victim, a 35-year-old, with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
Police say their investigation found the man was shot while standing in the front yard of a home when a vehicle pulled up, a person stepped out and then opened fire.
The suspect in the shooting is described as a bald, light-skinned Hispanic man who is believed to be around 185 pounds and about 5-foot 7-inches. Authorities say he has tattoos on his arms and across the top of his back.
“The incident appears to be gang related,” police said in a news release. “The investigation is ongoing.”
