Saturday. Peaches are taking over the spotlight this weekend in Old Town Lafayette. The free festival features more than 30,000 pounds of fresh organic Palisade peaches, peach smoothies, peach cobbler and peach pies for purchase. If peaches aren’t your thing, you can find fresh baked bread, BBQ, burgers and more from the food vendors. Besides chowing down on peaches, visitors can also check out booths with art, antiques and kids’ activities as well as live performances. Free. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on South Public Road. More info at .
