A man was seriously injured Friday when he was hit by an RTD light rail train in downtown Denver.
The accident happened after 6 p.m. near the intersection of 15th and California streets, said Doug Schepman, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
California Street is closed at 17th Street because of the accident and 15th is closed at Welton Street.
Denver police are investigating the accident.
The injured man, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital.
RTD said on Twitter that there might be some delays on the downtown light rail lines.
