Mark Kiszla’s column about Ryan Lochte’s behavior in Rio states, “So what if he’s 32 years old going on 19 and couldn’t count to potato?” This is demeaning to 19-year-olds. Lochte’s behavior is unconscionable at any age, anywhere. Shame on you, Lochte.

Until recently, we could at least read stories about the Olympics with some national pride and without having to stumble over the word “liar.” Ryan Lochte and his followers have taken that refuge of peaceful reading away from us.
