Getting your player ready...

Friday-Sunday. Just north of downtown, the National Western Complex is purpose-designed for rodeos and stock shows. But it also makes for a surprisingly cozy home for the chic Denver Modernism Show, which returns Aug. 26-28 with dozens of local and national vendors offering 50,000 square feet of curated furniture, art, appliances, clothing, jewelry, electronics and more. What ties it all together? An emphasis on mid-century, Art Deco, retro and pop styles — whether the products are vintage or brand new. This year’s beach party theme includes a swimwear contest and pageant, tribute band and plenty of drinks. Admission $10-$50, kids under 12 free. I-70 and Brighton Boulevard.
