A Greenwood Village man has been sentenced to four years in prison for a child pornography case that authorities say involved the most images and videos ever prosecuted in the judicial district spanning Arapahoe and Douglas counties.

Andrew Connis, 35, pleaded guilty Aug. 25 to one count of sexual exploitation of a child, a Class 3 felony, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.

“Under terms of a plea agreement, he was immediately sentenced to four years in the Colorado Department of Corrections,” the sheriff’s office said Thursday in a news release. “He must also register as a sex offender.”

Authorities say that from July to October 2015, investigators from the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office learned that Connis was downloading child pornography and making it available for download through a peer-to-peer network.

On Oct. 1, 2015, deputies executed a search warrant at the home where Connis lived and, officials say, investigators recovered more than 100,000 pictures and 300 videos depicting child pornography.

“The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, through in-depth investigations and work done by our Internet Crimes Against Children team, will continue to aggressively investigate criminals who prey on our most innocent of victims,” the news release added.
