When isn’t tending to Starling Farm on the outskirts of Boulder, he’s been known to strum a guitar. In the troubadour’s with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, recorded live at Boettcher Concert Hall, Isakov retreads his earliest hits with a kick back to a time when phones only lived in kitchens.

Isakov delved deep in his collection of microfiche and nostalgic stock footage with his latest video for “Stable Song.” In the video, the folky crooner appears as if shot with a vintage Super 8 camera, shown in his signature top hat and flannel shirt.

In what could have easily doubled as a World War I or II propaganda video, the soft spoken Isakov stirs up all of the feels.
