Coors Field will be a proving ground Friday night for both Friedrich and Chatwood. Friedrich, the former Rockie, is coming off the best performance of his career, shackling the Rockies last Saturday at Petco Park. Friedrich, 28, Colorado’s first-round draft pick in 2008, tossed seven shutout innings, allowed two hits and tied a career high with 10 strikeouts. But the left-hander has had a tough time in LoDo, going 2-9 with a 6.50 ERA in 50 games (nine starts). Chatwood, so good on the road, has been a different pitcher at Coors Field. The right-hander relies on the movement of his pitches, but when then the baseball doesn’t dip and dive at altitude, he gets into trouble. Chatwood is 7-1 with a 1.77 ERA on the road vs. 4-8 with a 5.67 ERA at home.
