Affordable Denver Housing

Denver’s city council approved Monday, a decade-long measure with near-immediate goals. In 2017 it will:

  • Support development of 500+ income-restricted housing units
  • Hike property taxes a half mill and create development (linkage) fees
  • Buy $3 million worth of land for future projects
  • Help ~250 households with $1.5 million of emergency assistance
