The 8 companies Steve Case will consider investing $100,000 in during his bus trip to Denver

Rise of the Rest is AOL co-founder Steve Case's road trip through America to find startups to invest in.

Noted: Mark your calendars for Oct. 4, the day AOL co-founder . Case is promoting the growth of startups outside of Silicon Valley during his Rise of the Rest tour.

Eight local companies were picked to pitch to Case, but as many who have researched Case’s investments know, he just of them. The eight are:

  • – The health plan that can fix America
  • – Beautiful, fun, monthly materials that teach kids to code
  • – Inspiring underrepresented youth to pursue STEM competencies & careers
  • – helps consumers plan, understand and manage health care expenses
  • – helps brands reach millennials where it matters
  • – monitors compliance and culture inside an enterprise
  • – simplest way to coordinate and track student volunteer hours
  • . – Sustainable fish, exciting flavors, freezer to plate in 20 minutes

The pitching won’t be on the bus. But the public is invited to attend the event at the City Hall Club, 1144 Broadway. RSVPs can be made here: 

Case will be touring Denver all day with stops at  HyprLoco, Turing School, Craftsy, Ibotta and Battery621. A full list of activities entrepreneurs and the curious can attend is at .

Case and entourage are also stopping Oct. 3 in Omaha/Lincoln, Neb.; Oct. 5 in Salt Lake City/Provo, Utah; Oct. 6 in Albuquerque; and Oct. 7 in Phoenix.
