Want to know how candidates seeking a seat in the Colorado legislature intend to improve the mental health care system?

Mental Health Colorado is holding a first-of-its-kind series of candidate forums on mental health, continuing next week in Denver and Colorado Springs. Candidates will answer questions about whether they support current law that requires insurers to cover mental health care and a proposed ballot measure to raise the tobacco tax to fund mental health care, among other issues.

About one in four Coloradans has a mental health or substance use disorder, and most go without treatment.

The is scheduled 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at Temple Emanuel, 51 Grape St.  will be 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday at Penrose Library, 20 N. Cascade Ave.
