As befits its name, the annual Lakewood Cider Festival is full of the stuff, fresh-pressed and ready to serve. The family-friendly celebration of Lakewood’s agricultural heritage is packed with activities, live entertainment and food/drink, including tractor pulls and “vintage power displays,” wagon and barrel train rides, and other children’s activities.

Also on tap: demonstrations of apple pressing, cider by the glass or gallon and an apple bake-off. New this year: a beer garden offering pints from Lakewood’s own Caution, WestFax and Great Frontier Brewing Companies.

Events run 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 1-2 at the Lakewood Heritage Center, 801 S. Yarrow St. $4-$7. 303-987-7850 or
