Denver police on Friday arrested a man with multiple felony arrest warrants who had been described earlier this week by police as “armed and dangerous.”

Jesus Garcia-Chavez was arrested without incident at a hotel in the 4700 block of Vasquez Boulevard Friday afternoon on suspicion of first-degree assault, three counts of kidnapping, domestic violence, felony menacing and two counts of possession of a weapon by a previous offender, according to Denver police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez.

Garcia-Chavez had been listed on a recent Crime Stoppers bulletin as having been involved in a “series of violent crimes” that took place in the early morning hours on Sunday. Lopez did not have details on Sunday’s activity.
