The 13th annual , which focuses on the stories of native peoples and spans venues citywide, kicked off Oct. 5 and continues through Oct. 10 with roughly a screening per day.

Thatap a contrast to all-day screening marathons at other fests, but allows this one to go deeper at events such as the Oct. 7 screening of “Sumé: The Sound of a Revolution” at the University of Denver’s Davis Auditorium, Oct. 8’s double feature and reception at the Auraria Campus, and Oct. 9’s “Message from Mungo” at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.

All events are free, with a suggested $5-$10 donation. .
