SOFTBALL 鈥 POSTSEASON POWER FIVE

1. Broomfield (17-2): The Front Range League champions earned the tournament’s top seed for good reason, and it’s the Eagles’ title to lose.
2. Douglas County (15-4): The Continental League champions are battle-tested and hungry for the program’s first 5A championship.
3. Legend (14-4-1): The Titans have been building toward a 5A crown聽for some time now, and sophomore Zoey LeCompte has the arm to get them there.
4. Cherokee Trail (16-3): The Cougars fell just short of the Centennial League title and are loaded with an array of capable hitters.
5. Fossil Ridge (15-4): The Sabercats earned a 10-seed and thus will have to win a regional title on the road, but the youth-laden team is talented enough to pull it off.
