Perhaps nothing needs to be said about chocolate’s appeal, but its emotional healing properties are as much in demand now as ever. Thankfully, the third annual Choctoberfest takes over Arapahoe County Fairgrounds 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Oct. 15, where organizers are expecting up to 6,000 attendees.
Chocolatiers will hand out 75,000 samples to go with the wine, beer, coffee and activities like aerial apple bobbing, a Gene Wilder/Willie Wonka look-alike contest, live entertainment and more.
More than 50 booths are representing the star ingredient from Colorado, New Mexico and elsewhere. 25690 E. Quincy Ave. in Aurora. $5 admission. “Taste tickets” are $10 for 12, $20 for 24.
