The Broncos almost made an amazing play to cut the Chargers’ 10-point lead. Almost.

In the middle of the second quarter Thursday, Denver’s Riley Dixon punted the ball to Travis Benjamin. The ball grazed off Benjamin’s leg. Broncos’ Will Parks grabbed the ball and ran it into the end zone for what would have been a touchdown.

If not for an incorrect call by the referees. The call was overturned, but Denver would have the ball on the 11-yard line.

They would settle for a field goal to cut the lead down to 10-3.
