Colorado Springs police arrested a 15-year-old boy who carried a gun into Mitchell High School on Tuesday.
Someone reported that the teen had the gun to a police school resource officer.
Police and School District 11 security investigated and found the weapon.
The student faces charges of unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon on school grounds. He was taken to Spring Creek Youth Services Center, a division of Division of Youth Corrections, and booked.
