A Denver school bus with 34 students on board was involved in a collision Friday afternoon, and five students and a driver were taken to Denver Health medical center.
The collision happened at about 4 p.m. near the intersection of West 39th Avenue and Fox Street, said Will Jones, a Denver Public Schools spokesman.
The students were being taken home from the Denver Montessori Junior/Senior High School, Jones said.
Denver police said the collision involved three vehicles, including the bus, and that injuries did “not appear to be serious.”
Two cars collided in the intersection and one car careened into the bus, police said. The driver of the car that hit the bus was the lone driver taken to the hospital.
