A Fort Carson soldier was found dead in a base barracks room on Monday morning.
Officials at the Mountain Post say the soldier was discovered at about 10:30 a.m.
The name of the soldier is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. Further details on the case were not immediately released.
“The cause of death is under investigation,” Fort Carson officials said in a statement.
