Getting your player ready...

Nuggets and Avs season is here. A night out on the town to the Pepsi Center isn’t complete without stuffing your face, whether on junk food inside the arena or trying a new restaurant in the Denver food scene. Here are a few options for pre-gaming from The Know, and how far they are from the game.

Stop by Euclid Hall for Study Hall, their version of happy hour, which is every day of the week from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring $3.50 select draughts, $3.50 well drinks and $3.50 house wine. Beers include New Belgium, Odell, Epic, Avery and more. Some beers priced higher during happy hour. Food is not included in happy hour pricing but with options link four kinds of poutine from carnitas to duck salads, full price is quite alright.

Lucky Pie is a great choice if you’re in the mood for some sharing. The restaurant focuses on the Neopolitan-style pizza, but is more than just a pizzeria with a focus on charcuterie and beer too. Happy hour at Lucky Pie is from 4 to 6 p.m. every day and features snacks like fried olives and squeaky cheese, each for $4. Fresh meat and cheese plates are available starting at $8, personal pizzas starting at $5, sip on a craft brew for $3.50 or a PRB for $2. Wine and cocktails are also available at a happy hour price.
