One person died and four were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Englewood.

The crash happened at about 1 p.m. at the intersection of South Tejon Street and West Evans Avenue, according to the Englewood Police Department.

Police said a red Ford Mustang southbound on Tejon collided with a red Chevrolet Tahoe that was westbound on Evans.

A man in the Mustang died at the scene, and three other people in the Mustang were taken to hospitals with critical injuries, police said. The driver of the Tahoe, who was the only person in the SUV, was taken to a hospital with “unknown” injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
