State patrol seeks public’s help solving hit-and-run of Boulder cyclist

The cyclist was struck from behind with the vehicle’s passenger-side mirror

The Colorado State Patrol is seeking information from the public regarding a hit-and-run crash Saturday afternoon that injured a cyclist.

State Trooper Nate Reid said the crash happened near Olde Stage Road and Lefthand Canyon Drive at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the .

Cyclist Jody LaPar of Boulder said she was struck from behind by the vehicle’s passenger-side mirror and left in a ditch on Olde Stage Road. She later collected pieces of the mirror and gave them to the state patrol. Reid said the pieces appear to belong to a Ford SUV or pickup truck.

LaPar said she suffered a concussion and is having difficulty moving, but a CAT scan shows no bleeding in her brain.
