Denver police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning in a collision along the border of the city’s Windsor and Lowry neighborhoods.

Authorities say the crash happened about 7:30 a.m. at Alameda Avenue and Clinton Street. According to Christine Downs, a Denver police spokesman, the person killed was a woman in her 30s.

“We are still investigating to see who was at fault,” Downs said.

The woman was walking outside of a crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle that was westbound on Alameda, Downs said. The driver stayed at the scene.

The name of the woman killed in the collision has not been released.

“We are asking for any witnesses to give our traffic investigations unit a call,” Downs said.

Further information on the case was not immediately released.
