Voters wait in line to cast ballots at an early polling site last Friday in San Antonio.

If you have no faith in one presidential candidate, vote for the other party. If you can’t stand either one, vote for a third-party candidate. If you can vote for none of them, then vote for all the non-presidential candidates and issues (amendments, propositions and other ballot issues) and leave the presidential choices blank. Your votes will count, and this will send a powerful message to the entrenched politicians and political parties. Imagine if 40 million people voted but didn’t vote for a president.

If you’re as sick of the second-rate politicians as I am, register your feelings. If you don’t vote, then no one cares about your opinion.
