Golden Tate had a golden moment on Sunday.
During overtime against the Minnesota Vikings, the Lions receiver caught a pass near the far sideline between two defenders. He dodged one, tiptoed along the out-of-bounds line and fought off the other. Then as he ran to the end zone, leapt into the air and connected with a WWE-esque spinning heel kick on safety Andrew Sendejo.
In comparison, here’s pro wrestler Rusev performing the same move:
“It was kind of planned,” Tate told The Associated Press of his flip. “He just kind of accelerated it a little bit.”
The score clinched a 22-16 victory for the Lions.
