I don’t see your name on it. A man said he was pushing a cart of scrap metal through Centennial Park, 4630 S. Decatur St., Englewood, on Oct. 20 when he got cold and laid down under a sheet of plastic. Another man approached and asked the victim what he was doing in “his park.” The suspect then started punching him in the mouth, got in a car and left.
Swift swipe. A man’s car was stolen Oct. 7 while he was working at an apartment in the 5600 block of South Park Place, Greenwood Village. He arrived at the property at 1:20 p.m. The car was gone by 1:40 p.m. Surveillance footage showed a man walk through the trees from South DTC Boulevard at 1:32 p.m., enter the car and drive off within 30 seconds.
Grand theft promo. A woman who was scheduled to put on a presentation about Flight for Life at the Inverness Hotel, 200 Inverness Drive, Arapahoe County, on Oct. 25 found someone had entered the conference room before her and stolen $2,000 worth of promotional items.
Sleazy shopper. A woman living in the 3200 block of South Clarkson Street, Englewood, said a man ripped off her garage sale Oct. 15 with a fake $100 bill. The suspect used the phony bill to buy $10 worth of items from the woman’s daughter and made off with $90 in real money. The bill was a “washed” single and obviously fake.
Particularly parasitic. An unknown suspect somehow gained entry into a man’s locked truck in the 3900 block of South Washington Street, Englewood, overnight Oct. 19 and stole his radar detector and handicapped placard.
