Refrigerator raider. On Oct. 24, a couple returned to their home in the 20800 block of East Doane Place on Oct. 24 and found that someone broke into their house through their basement. Both refrigerators in the home were open, and steaks and fish were missing from them. There was also an open package of salmon left on the counter.

Drunk and lost. A drunken man looking for his girlfriend went to the home of a man in the 1100 block of North Ouray Street and tried to kick in his front door Oct. 25. Police found the suspect sitting in the grass nearby when they arrived and then they drove him to his girlfriend’s house and cited him.

Ransacked gun safe. On Oct. 24, police were called to the 17400 block of East Arkansas Avenue because a man came home from work and found that someone tore up his house and robbed him. Police discovered that the burglars forced their way in through the garage side door after they broke it open. Six guns, two TVs, a gaming console and jewelry were taken.

Misplaced cell phone. A teacher at Sable Elementary, 2601 N. Sable Blvd., reported that her cell phone was stolen out of the administrative bathroom Oct. 25 after she accidentally left it in there.

Another stolen phone. The mother of a student who attends Sagebrush Elementary School, 14700 E. Temple Place, reported Oct. 24 that someone stole her son’s iPhone 6 off his bicycle mount. The perpetrators turned the phone off and removed the SIM card immediately.

Stolen bike. A woman who lives in the 800 block of North Revere Street got a flat tire on her bicycle Oct. 27, so she left it out on her porch overnight in anticipation of changing the tire in the morning. It was stolen overnight.
