Some Boulder County voters were panicked this morning when they found out that their ballot had been “rejected” while tracking it online, but officials at the clerk’s office said those ballots are likely just being processed.
Mircalla Wozniak, a spokeswoman with the Boulder County Clerk’s Office, said while processing ballots, the county must report the status of all ballots to the state whenever they are moved to a different stage of the process, such as signature verification.
But unfortunately, Wozniak said there is only a “rejected” and a “accepted,” status and no “processing” state, so many voters are seeing their ballots as rejected if they were checking online this morning.
