A: It was a career change after owning the Minority & Women Advertisers for 16 years.
A: We use century-old family recipes from Alabama.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
:The customers and seeing them reminisce about their own family recipes once they try our homemade plates.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
:The revolving door that is staffing and small business taxes.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
:It’s named for my mom, Cora, and combined with my sister’s middle name Faye. CoraFaye’s is a tribute to my mom, who starting cooking fried chicken when she was 9 years old to avoid working in the cotton fields of Alabama. She’s always saying “Isn’t that beautiful?” and “What a blessing” whenever we get recognition.
